But Simone HAS had anxiety in the gym and I’m competition in the past few years and she has deliberately called out USAG’s failure to keep gymnasts safe as the reason. Remember the “you had one damn job” interview? This stuff doesn’t just go away with one or two competitions

It’s about 1.5 points now, plus they did beat the US on both events in prelims. Could do with a hit routine now though!

We have absolutely no idea if this has anything to do with Nassar at all.

She was feeling pressure to carry the team to gold and it wasn’t going to be a stroll through the park this time.

I can not buy that. A meltdown of this magnitude with no prior history of meltdowns? Had to be some deep thing was triggered. I think Nassar is a good bet.
