If there’s anything negative I have to say about how Gadirova is evaluated it’s that even if she were to have an off day, she doesn’t seem like she’ll ever get significant artistry deductions or get hammered on fine details. This is partially due to routine construction but also because I get the sense that the judging approach to her is basically “She is what we want all gymnastics to look like so she will always be the standard to which others will be compared.”
