Must’ve been quite a bittersweet moment for him.So, in a change from the Tokyo qualification rules, Ahmed Abu Al Soud takes bronze but will have to try again for Paris at the World Cups next year.
In 2019 the rules were three qualifiers per apparatus but only if you made the final and then there was a fourth spot available through the World Cups, so while specialists on other apparatus benefit from this new system, PH and SR, where the most genuinely world-class specialists exist lose out
