Ohashi 2013 Scam, Kyla 2013 Chemnitz friendly. Simone had a fall in both competitions.Has anyone beaten Simone at AA since Lexie Priessman?
I'd have to look at the math again but a 14.9 like Simone got in tf would have had her in silver, correct? Plus that fucking 9.5 would have haunted you foreverWHile the YDP was the right decision, it's interesting that the YDP didn't actually decide the winner
No, she would have won by several tenths stillI'd have to look at the math again but a 14.9 like Simone got in tf would have had her in silver, correct? Plus that fucking 9.5 would have haunted you forever
I don't think we can underestimate the mental edge it gave her. Knowing you have a little cushion in start values may make you a looser/ less stressed gymnast which helps the performance.WHile the YDP was the right decision, it's interesting that the YDP didn't actually decide the winner
Yeah but I think she's gonna die every time she does the front punch out of her first passNaomi Visser quietly had a great day.
Good technique, good genes or a combo of both. I'm thrilled to have gotten to see her compete live at least once (and when someone invents a time machine, I'm going back to watch Michelle Kwan compete). And physically fortunate. To do all those big skills and only ever have slight injuries.
What’s with all “fierce women” thing. What makes a woman fierce? I personally find it extremely patronising and misogynistic. No one describes a man like thatIt would be cool to see a comprehensive list of all of the firsts and broken records when the competitions are over. I am loving watching all of these fierce women make history.
For many of us.LOL
Still, Biles said afterward that Andrade had her worried.
“I don’t want to compete with Rebeca no more. I’m tired,” Biles said. “She’s way too close. I’ve never had an athlete that close, so it definitely put me on my toes, and it brought up the best athlete in myself, so I’m excited and proud to compete with her but … it was uncomfortable, guys. I was stressing.”
But the ability to hang onto the bar at all and take the extra swing instead of smacking her feet or coming off was impressive!Oh boy, form error and extra swing.
