Nearly every gymnast seems to have some sort of ritual before (or after) they compete on an event. Ondine’s is just more obvious. Laurie, for example, gave herself affirmations (e.g., “I got this” before her floor routine in Rio). Danell Leyva used to cover his head in a towel. Shannon Miller used to tug at her leotard.
