Bars:

1. Kaylia NEMOUR 7.0 15.433 ALG
2. Alena TSITAVETS 6.2 14.100 AIN
3. Maellyse BRASSART 5.7 13.700 BEL
4. Yihan ZHANG 6.5 13.600 CHN
5. Georgia-Rose BROWN 5.5 13.533 NZL
6. Vanesa MASOVA 5.5 13.400 CZE
7. Natalia ESCALERA 5.9 13.400 MEX
8. Jiafei HU 5.8 9.800 CHN

Valuable points for Tsitavets and Brassart. If they can match those scores in Baku and Doha they could both go to Paris, but there's no room for error after both fell in Cairo.

Points:

Brown 50
Nathalie Westlund 39/37 (if Escalera scores points)
Tsitavets 30
Masova 28
Sara Sulekic 28/26
Levi Ruivivar 26/24
Brassart 25
Laura Casabuena 23/22
An Chang Ok 20

That has to be it for Chuso now right? 😢
I would think so. It was a long shot anyway, but Georgieva coming second again is really bad for Chusovitina. If it were one of the more chaotic events, like floor and bars are shaping up to be, she might be in the mix for longer. But vault has these two way out in front.

On bars, worth noting that Sweden don't necessarily send every athlete who qualifies to the Olympics. Hence Veronica Wagner in 08. I'm not sure how they'd respond to someone qualifying via having come top 2 in a qualifying competition rather than like 49th AA in worlds prelims, but we may need to take it into account.

Rings:

1. Nikita SIMONOV 6.2 14.700 AZE
2. Samir AIT SAID 6.1 14.666 FRA
3. Vahagn DAVTYAN 6.0 14.600 ARM
4. Artur AVETISYAN 5.9 14.566 ARM
5. Ryong Il JONG 6.2 14.433 PRK
6. Courtney TULLOCH 6.2 14.400 GBR
7. Harry HEPWORTH 5.8 14.200 GBR
8. Vinzenz HOECK 6.1 14.166 AUT

Hepworth was first reserve, looks like he replaced Mahdi Ahmad Kohani (Iran). The top five here look like they're going to be really close for the Olympic spots.

Simonov and Jong are tied on 46 points
Davtyan 45
Ait Said 43
Avetisyan 38
Hoeck 26
Daniel Villafane 22

This should be true, but per the official ranking from FIG, Cassandra Loustalot scored points on beam last week.
It has to be an error on their part as Mexico already has the maximum allotted slots.

Lauren from the Gymnternet has the correct standings, hopefully FIG realizes their error.

Presumably Davtyan stands a good chance of being the 1st qualifier on vault?

We already know that FIG is not reliable when it comes to record keeping.
ahem*2023 World VT final *ahem

This exact error is why they shouldn't be reallocating points. Just keep the points ranking as is and go down the list at the end and pick the top two eligible.

If you mean Arthur, he is already qualified to the Olympics via AA placement at Worlds.

Right!
I didn't think the other points would be reallocated, so mot sure why Lauren did that.

Either way Escalera and Loustalot are not eligible for points, since MEX already has their allotted 3, so hopefully FIG realizes their mistake.

Reallocating points is perfectly fine IMO... as long as they find someone who has 5th grade math skills and is able to understand the basic rules to do it.
Yes, I am still SMH how they omitted Wong in worlds vault finals, after Roberson was out with an injury. Hopefully from now on, the athletes who ended in the top 9 and were two-pered will be marked as a conditional R, or something so it doesn't happen again.

Correct, that is the Komova II / Shaposhnikova from a piked stalder entry.
Thanks! That’s what I thought. And she didn’t get credit for the Tkatchev half. So there’s still technically a little more in start value she can get.

All I can make out from that blurry video is that she was very lucky she didn't break her neck.

Back to that Davydova vault... Is this how it is supposed to look like?
From Camarah Williams Instagram

No - the one you posted is a tucked version of the Omelianchik vault - round off - back handspring-half on and tucked front off.

The Davydova is a full twisting handspring on and tucked front off.

The difficulty with the Davydova vault is generating sufficient block on the twisting handspring - especially on the old-school vaulting horse.

Beam is on now. Derwael dropped the ball slightly with 13.433 and is in 3rd behind Zhou and Ashikawa. But she's ahead of Williams and Pinxten, so I'd think this is probably still full points for her here? The only potential qualifier still to go is Casabuena.

Derwael still has 30 points. Pinxton has 20 points (following Instagram Belgiamgymnastics)
