0.05 definitely has a place for tiny errors. Like a little foot shuffle on a landing, which is visibly different than an absolute stick or a full .1 step on a landing.

Deductions overall need to be less.

What are people's thoughts on a 7.5 E for this?

In terms of how the sport should be scored I would say 8.6E:

.1 on each ring skill and the wolf jump, .5 for the big mistake on the full jump, .1 pause before dismount, .1 legs on dismount, .2 step, .2 artistry.

But little tiny errors are so visible to judges when the gymnast is super clean, whereas ugly routines have too many to count
This is the fundamental issue.

Robo-judging would "fix" this. It would also mean that gymnasts would never compete anything difficult. Paseka just wouldn't do her Cheng. Roberson just wouldn't do her Moors. Noone would ever do a Gogean.

Like Denn said - you'd need to fundamentally change the execution deductions if you had a system that actually took every execution deduction. The current system hammers the girls whos execution errors stick out, because they are otherwise clean. While it favors the girls that have scrappy form, where 3 or 4 execution errors are all buried in a single skills so they don't all get taken, and who show high enough difficulty to swallow what does get taken and who are mind-blowingly consistent (like Aly Raisman).

We need to figure out what kind of gymnastics we want. And then build the Code around that.

That depends. Some routines are overscored. Particularly on vault. The (non) separation between Rebeca and Jade's Chengs in Tokyo AA was 2020 was crazy.

That's a big reason why video replay needs to be available to judges. Vault in particular should have 1/2 speed replay.

There are still a couple things that get unnecessarily nickel-and-dimed on vault too though. Like for example Maroney getting deducted for miniscule leg separation before hitting the table. That shouldn't be a thing. If your legs are together by the time they are rising into upside down position, then there was no real error.
