I'm sure it'll pass eventually, just not today. I think my frustrations about the overall gold medal count is contributing and it's not like diving is over.

Exactly. We've never really liked gymnasts winning golds with falls or massive errors, unless there was just no choice because the rest of the field was a massive splatfest like BB today. So Simone, despite her massive D-score, won silver due to massive errors.

As well as vault. She's just a treat to watch on those events. But I hope she really goes nuts on UB and BB and see her in 2026 and beyond.

If I had her money, I'd go down to the south of France for a few days to relax and get away from Paris then come back for the closing ceremony.
