Andrade's vaults and the footage of Biles' stuck YDP have me thinking that elite gymnastics would benefit from a (cautious) return to being willing to throw a 10 (or anything upwards of 9.7, really) for something truly exceptional. Deficiencies should be deducted, but excellence needs to be acknowledged too.

She wasn't really the greatest with those. She wasn't a twister even before getting the twisties. The YDP was pretty much the one way she could still compete difficulty on vault without having to do another twisting vault.
