I can’t wait to the Gadirova sisters compete tomorrow. I love both their routines.

My main wish is that Jade goes home with a medal.

It would suck if she ended up the only American without a medal. But Gerasimova is already in that position

Yeah, I feel for Gerasimova, too. She doesn’t even get a shot at one.

I think that had she not messed up bars in quals it would have been her and Ilyankova in the final for Russia.

They are right at the top in dance, expression and musicality. Both routines are great and I’m glad the world will get to see them in finals.

I feel like my initial post denigrated their tumbling ability by not mentioning it. Their DLOs are stunning for height and shape. A bit more control on their landings and they’ll break 14.

I would love if Rebeca busted out the 1.5 twisting double for EF… Did that ever get named for anyone?

I think she has submitted it before… I don’t know if a gymnast would have to submit a skill more than once though. I know SImone has submitted the weiler full before but I don’t know if she needs to do so for each competition

Ugh. Jade is hideous on floor, it’s embarrassing to watch. I get that people like her and want her to leave with a medal but….

Not routing for her to get gold, but if she hits she definitely deserves to be in the mix for silver/bronze based on her tumbling.

Honestly the entire top 8 is very worthy and I wouldn’t be upset with any combination of this group.

Either Rebecca or Vanessa with gold other silver would make me happy, Jade bronze.

As we don’t know if this Listunova’s only chance for an individual medal at these games, I’d like to see her hit to the best of her abilities and see where the cards fall.

But really, any of the top 8 could win this.

Jade, Ferrari, and Murakami are the only three in the final without a medal. I’ve decided that I hope that’s the podium (in any order).

I previously disliked Ferrari’s gymnastics but I love this floor routine, it’s a proper floor routine. Really hope she can repeat her performance from quals, she’s tried a long time. We’re the same age and I cannot imagine having the energy now for full time training!
