Someone mentioned upthread about bars being a problem on a team of Biles, McCallum, DiCello, and Chiles, but all of them are actually quite strong on the event. Biles is a World medalist and finalist, DiCello just went 14.6 at Classics, McCallum was 2nd reserve for bars finals at Worlds (2-per’ed of course), and Chiles is a solid 14+ backup. If Biles, DiCello, and McCallum hit in TF, you’re only looking at a .2-.5 improvement on the team score by bringing a specialist to the main team.

Memmel is divine on bars. That Maloney + hip uprise 1/2 + giant 1/1 is so easy to lose tenths on.

I can’t believe Lee doesn’t peel off the bars more frequently on her Jaeger + Pak + Van Leeuwen… I feel like it’s only a matter of time.

Carey’s triple double is insane and not in a good way lol. I marvel at it but it is idiotic.

Chiles is doing her second vault here. Skinner is looking more obsolete for Worlds.

I don’t see that making competition unless Jade turns out to be the clear second best US athlete on floor with a lot of space between her and the third best US girl. (Or she miraculously makes the AA final.) If she performs it in prelims a mistake could take her out of the floor final. A mistake in the floor final would risk an Olympic medal.

Are we sure about this? I know it was said that she is moving, but it was also said by Skinner that Forster wants her on the Worlds team, yeah?

Skinner apparently has removed her clear hip before the dismount! Good news

I have no idea about Forster’s comments but she said in her youtube videos that she isn’t trying for Worlds, they bought a house in Utah and are moving there in August. Both her and her husband are returning to school to finish the final year on their degrees.

Edit to add. Is Morgan all the way back from her injury? Knowing how Tom wants to pick the team, I don’t know how she’s going to get there.

Me and Denn had high 8 / low 9 for that bar routine. And I took 3 on the pak.

It’s a gold if she can hit. I can’t see Derwael getting a mid 15 with her feet.

I feel increasingly less reassured that she’s actually going to be there. Ankles a bit better, adrenaline to get the tumbles round… DO NOT WANT.

I have no insider info on Morgan, but I thought there was a quote from her at Classics saying that it would be better for her to have one more month of training. (one more month than she will get.)
