Grace has some really nice bits of choreography in her beam. I also appreciate that her candle mount is both straight and held.

Grace might be one of the most underrated beam workers in the world. I just love how calmly she works, with nice variation and few built in deductions.

Grace’s presentation and style have matured. I was never a big fan except for vault but I enjoy her a lot more now.

I had Grace at 8.8 because (a) I think her routine is well executed, (b) she’s got better artistry on beam than anyone else except maybe Eaker at this point, and (c) the camera angle made it hard to see split positions.

Oh, the USAG judges liked her, too.
