No travelling alts. FIG doesn't allow that for individual worlds. USAG will name up to 2 non-travelling alternates.

Hmmm, Roberson, two sup-par scores today. I feel like she always gets the benefit of the doubt, and today, maybe not so much. Curious.

I don’t think anything Roberson did today really mattered, her fx yesterday likely put her on the team. Only path I could see for her not on team is Blakely blows it today on both events to go 0 for 4, Hang goes lights out on vt/Bb and Sullivan beats Roberson day one fx score…then maybe take those 2 instead of Blakely/roberson.

No, that's something USAG works out independently with a host gym. But USAG has never taken alts to pre-worlds training for individual worlds. Whoever is named alternate, absolutely will not be traveling any where.

FIG considers the 4th person not doing an event to be the "alternate" for that event. So they do not allow for any official alternates like they do with a team event.

^ I mean, when I see an arm that bent, I think "support with only one hand" is what's going on, though it's all a matter of degrees to which that's happening. If you take a later freeze frame you'll see that left arm bent even more to get out of the way while the right arm is still straight.

The 2 point deduction is very shortly described in the code, so I would hope they have a help memo for such a uniquely consequential deduction.... I don't really support it btw, I think it should just incur something like 1-2 different apparatus-specific deductions within the vault faults section.

No, she hit. The onodi was the only real problem, she wobbled a little and broke the connection to the jumps after it. A step here and there. I don’t know what her D score was.

She has 6.2/7.4/13.6 on day 1. With that broken connection, I could see 6.0/7.1/13.1 easily.

This says she had 5.9D, 7.3E for 13.1 but that math isn’t right. 5.9 + 7.3 = 13.2 so one of these numbers has to be wrong.
