It’s a new thing for this quad, because that’s highlighted as an update and it was updated 9/14/2021.

“RO ½ on family +.20 SV for Junior and Hopes 13-14 athletes.” is also new, and everyone (hopes/jr/sr) gets three warmup vaults regardless of amount of vaults they’re going to compete.

Man, I think Buechler need another year or two before going elite.

And she is only 12. She could have competed Hopes if Graba necessarily had to have her compete at elite something. I feel bad for her, she looks much younger than she is. Shame on Graba.

I think Hopes was the plan for Buechler, because that’s where she started the season. They went to the WOGA qualifier and she competed Hopes (13-14), not junior elite. But 13-14 Hopes use the junior elite rules, so if you get the junior elite score at a hopes competition, it counts.

Many of her skills appeared “overpowered” but iirc that’s a tactic to prevent short landings and save her ankles long term. I could be wrong.

It seemed like a good strategy for saving her body but also it was just so much energy expended every time she competed those nearly impossible routines.

I’m glad they seem to be going with a more simplistic approach this time. And thank goodness for no side jumps on beam! I think they tanked her score in Tokyo, along with that back pike that I also wish would go away.

It looks like the competitions are listed on YT. I don’t check for every one. NBC doesn’t share well.

Hey, where is @Doug1233? He was clearly excited about Classics but missed the whole weekend. His name is missing from the “Users” page that shows how many likes/replies/topics/days visited everyone has. When you put it to “All Time” Doug was always at the top for posts (6.3k) and likes (6.6k) but now he doesn’t even exist on the list. I can still pull up his user profile by @'ing him and see his posts, but why would he disappear from the user page?
