The BBC commentators were discussing at length how sometimes you can adjust your routine if you go up later, depending on what you need to do, and going up earlier you have to decide whether to gamble or not. It's like Becky and GMF were working in concert to prove their point.

She didn't gamble, it was Becky who went for the big difficulty routine. Evidently with an eye on winning gold rather than shoring up silver. Then GMF was able to be quite conservative, not going for the fullest amplitude on every skill etc.
