Short splits, some form issues, and the dismount. It looked like a well hit routine (the stream froze a bit), but the 13.95 suggests it was on par with Simone/Skye which I didn’t feel it was.

I can’t see how a Chiles hit beam would move the needle at all. A hit floor would be a different story.

A good UB could strengthen the argument to take her, but I think she’s just been outcompeted at this point.

Is it USAG or the coaches/athletes who decide which two events to do?

Gymnasts can request to show specific events, and USAG is supposed to take that into consideration.

I think USAG likes to see bars and beam because those are typically the most inconsistent.
