Tim, lots of people have told Chellsie that her time is up. USAG in particular was pretty awful on that point. That is part of what makes her so awesome, and part of why we all love watching her. She is doing gymnastics on her terms, and that is why we love her.

I was shocked (seriously shocked) she didn’t land a Disney Channel show right after the Olympics. ETA: She can take Andrea’s job of interviewing the athletes, starting right now even.

And now it is the saddest time of all…the competition is over.

I was bothered by that throughout. A mask that does not cover your nose, or a mask you keep pulling down below your nose when in proximity to others, is the equivalent of not wearing a mask. If they do not make covid safety paramount this will go south pretty quickly.

Chiles with a 57.050 and the scoring certainly wasn’t lenient. Carey would’ve needed a 15.1 on floor to tie her in the AA.
