Jade’s bars are irrelevant, but I’m still impressed by how much Brian Carey has improved them. That pirouette isn’t an automatic 0.5 deduction anymore.

lol at jade like not wanting to let go of the bar... her dad's like... um, sweetie, take the fall. Technically shouldn't it be another 1.0 deduction cuz he touched her while she was still on the apparatus?

Also -- that is a raggedy clear hip handstand... like... does not belong in an elite routine. Maybe she should be doing a toe-hand.

I think the Chusovitina is a net positive over the Biles II 90% of the time.

Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if she dismounts with a Chuso. The DLO was bigger today than last year.

Most of this quad has been spend saying how wonderful it is that gymnasts can combine elite and college gymnastics.

But is it? Or does it lead to rushed preparation

No, they took some foot form deduction and/or an extension before landing deduction too. When she had a tiny hop once they gave her a 9.7-9.8 range score I think.
