Nastia did the NBC broadcast while John and Sam did the peacock broadcast IIRC
ETA: I can only find Peacock’s broadcast of 2022 Worlds, Did NBC broadcast it or was it only on peacock? I forget

Yeah, I think the speculation was based on Nastia not being at Worlds, but as far as I’m aware we haven’t had any kind of confirmation.
I was under the impression that Nastia did not commentate at Worlds because she was doing call backs for Special Forces production during Worlds.
They had filmed in the summer and then had the cast back so they could do their interviews/confessionals.

All of 2022 Worlds was streamed on Peacock. Only a highlight reel was on NBC.

That was my understanding too.

All Things Gymnastics Podcast said on Twitter they heard she was no longer with NBC.

They probably couldn’t keep up with her wardrobe budget demands

I wonder if Nastia inherited her mother’s Crohn’s Disease. That could be a contributor.

@Doug1233’s team is looking more and more likely by the minute:

vt: (suni) jones carey biles
ub: (biles) gabby jones suni
bb: (jones) gabby suni biles
fx: (suni) jones carey biles

Well done, Doug. Well done.

It will be interesting to see if Chiles ends up on the team. Based on past performances, one could argue that she can’t be counted on to hit at the biggest of meets even when she rocks meets all year long, and thus she shouldn’t be picked. (Gabs is the opposite. She looks way better at the Olympics than she does all year prior.) Chiles’ Cheng, however, could clinch her a spot. But it would likely be over Carey.

Bars and beam are sufficiently covered with the recent return from the AA champs plus Jones. Ironically a VT/FX specialist is the combo needed instead of BB/UB. A Cheng / Amanar would be a preliminary requirement.

I will say, if I had to pick one of those six to fizzle out by next fall, it would be shilese. The rest have proven track records of longevity.

I’ve wondered the same. My son has Crohns and he and everyone else I know with it are sometimes painfully thin.

Simone won camp by 3.5 points and allegedly vaulted the YDP. Has the DV been knocked down by 0.4 since last quad?

Not that I questioned the seriousness of her comeback, but I didn’t expect her to be at YDP level quite yet!

I wonder if Simone fell on VT… only a 8.45 E
