could she do weiler, weiler 1/2, maloney to reverse hecht, toe on full to pak, shap 1/2 and dismount?
What would that be?

That would be 6.1 D if she is still doing the double double dismount. Hopefully she is going to put the Shang in though and get 6.5

thanks… is there evidence that she is learning a shang or just wishful thing?

She trained it in the past, not sure about right now. It’s a move that wasn’t really worth putting into her routine last code though, whereas now there’s a big incentive to do it.

Think of all the Monday-morning “quarterbacking” we have ahead of us.

What happened to the piked tkatchev + Pak combo?

she can’t do the straddle tkatchev out of the maloney and a piked version anymore. If she didn’t do the straddle version, what would she do after the maloney then? I do look forward to what she comes up with though!

If the Toe 1/1 is still giving her problems, doing Giant 1/1 out of the Maloney could be good.

The code devalued the Pike Tkatchev + Pak though, so it’s still in her best interest to train a Shang either way.

Toe full to pak connection is more likely than having F release ready in competition.

Or a quasi-Andrade-style routine:
Wieber 1/2 + Maloney + Toe full + Tkachev + Pak
Van Leeuwen
Jaeger (she trained that skill before)
Double double

That should be 6.2D.

Maloney + Toe-full is super hard. Is there a reason to think she can do that?

It’s easier than Pak to Van Leeuwen, or F to D connection for Biles. Another 6.2D routine will also serve well for her:

Wieber 1/2 + Maloney + Tkachev + Pak
Toe full + Van Leeuwen
Jaeger
Double double

if she’s got the Weiler 1/2, there’s no need to do a 1/2 turn into Jaeger, KCH with 1/2 turn into dismount. At that point, just do a hip circle C

Lee said she hasn’t been able to get back fully when she was asked whether she would be planning to do AA this quad. I think she will become a bars and beam specialist at least.

Suni: Bars and Beam
Simon: Floor, Vault and Beam
Shilese: AA

Jade: Floor, Vault and Beam

OR With a little work:
Reese Esponda Beam, Floor.

She had the top floor score of the juniors. There’s always one young one who comes on strong the year of the Olympics and it could be her.
