Hard to tell with just the scores.
Russia often uses internal bonus points so we don’t know if those are legit scores or if they include bonus.
The beam and floor scores appear high to me.

From what I heard, the federation wanted to see the judges and athletes under just the new code, given that opportunities will be limited.

There is to a be a dual meet with China soon though. I think MAG and WAG

That’s gymnastically very exciting I’ve said many times that I miss the dual meets GB used to host in the 00s.

ETA It’s a darn shame GB stopped those dual meets once they were good enough to actually be competitive.

I have a video from Urazova’s beam set. She got a 14.8. It was really, really good but obviously an overscore.

Pretty awkward to have the lone German gymnast stand alone for her anthem after the Canadian dance performance. I like the Canadian leotard a lot.

US juniors went 1-5 in the AA and took home the team title by 9 points.
So looks like there is a strong generation coming up.

Injury alert: Appears Ashley Sullivan was taken out by a stretcher during warm ups.

It was surreal seeing someone stretchered out during a clown routine.

So far I’ve enjoyed the height of the D’Amato double front UB dismounts. Andrioli works bars with incredible speed. Impossible to hear the FX music so no one stood out there. The US had some nice individual tumbles though. How mortifying for Konig to fall off beam while trying to remount

USA with lots of OOB deductions though. Seems to be a trend with this crop.

It doesn’t help that so few gymnasts actually open out of tumbles and prepare for landing, especially on double pikes.

Black plus coach trying to sort the floor out. The US coaches were trying to sort the joins out during touch warm up as well.

Will be interested to see our gym judges evaluate Black’s FX given the recent NCAA O’Keefe BB discussion. She did a LO pass and got a 3.5 D, 8.0 E. I wasn’t really paying attention to the E score relative to others though as scores have only just started showing up.

So far Italy look like they are either having a very good beam routine or a two fall beam routine.

I’m getting increasingly nervous watching floor with these gaps.

Love that the coverage is going straight from routine to routine ahem NBC!
