I wonder if Chellsie is planning to make another run at competing this year.

Chellsie is scheduled to judge American Classic, which makes me think she’s done with elite (again), but not like she’s said one way or another.

Heaven help me keep Kailin Chio, Katelyn Jong, and Kaliya Lincoln all straight. Much less Elle Mueller, Ella Murphy, and Ella Kate Parker.

Ah okay. Her recent SM posts suggest she’s more in “playing” mode than serious training mode, though clearly she’s still in ridiculously good shape. So that seems to back up what you’re suspecting, though I’d like you to be wrong in this case!

Believe me, as Founding President of the Chellsie Memmel BAMF Fan Club, I want to be wrong. but here she is on the American Classic judging list. I point it out because Chellsie deliberately withdrew her name from the judging pool last year because she planned to compete.

It’s USAG, so who knows. But it’s certainly a bit of a conflict of interest, no?

I mean, I’m 100% sure that Chellsie’s judicial integrity would not be affected in any way. She’s simply not that kind of person.

It’s the appearance of conflict, that’s the issue.

It’s like Sylvia judging Aly at Nationals. Or Kittia judging Gabby.
