This is going to get the 2 point deduction at worlds.Happy to see Leanne do relatively well but she's back to the problematic one arm block.

Does she also auto qualify to compete AA in prelims?I think USAG made a major mistake having so much time in between nationals and team selection. Literally no one except for Caylor looks better, and Caylor at best will not make any EF and will probably rotate with the 2nd group in the AA.

Agree. It makes more sense in an individual worlds to take a punt on the inconsistent big scorer. That being said, I don't think they'll take Skye if she doesn't hit tomorrow. Not because I don't agree with your logic, but because the US place so much reliance on this one selection event. It's not particularly hard to justify in my opinion -- "this gymnast has demonstrated scoring potential throughout the season that puts her routine in medal contention".
You can argue how heavily to weigh her consistency, but that's a justification, and particularly in an individual worlds with no consequence to a team score, I think it's the correct one, because picking another American gymnast who can hit a 13-something beam routine isnt particularly compelling in my opinion. ¯\(ツ)/¯
I don’t see any ‘someone’ other than Blakely.I don't know that Dulcy winning is all that much chaos. She was third on bars, third on beam, and tied for first on floor. She very much earned it today. Her reaction afterward was priceless and I love the sportsmanship of her teammates cheering and congratulating her.
Right now that last spot looks like a battle between Sullivan and Hang, but if someone goes lights out tomorrow they could stake a claim to it.
Blakely absolutely needs to hit and show at least one routine in 14’s.Agree. It makes more sense in an individual worlds to take a punt on the inconsistent big scorer. Do you think it matters which? For me, where it gets interesting is what happens if she hits bars but not beam.Blakely absolutely needs to hit and show at least one routine in 14’s.
