Are the athletes allowed to just call or video chat with their families from their own devices in the stadium, right after the competition without having to go through the athlete cam thing?

Watching the athletes after the final again, I think Mykayla may have just been emotional and overwhelmed. She looked happy when she was hugging everyone and then sort of tearful dazed on the way out.

Aw, Yeo is so cute. And Mykayla is hamming for the camera as much as a mask will let her. Good for her. she’ll never be my favorite gymnast or person, but she has been generally a good sport this Olympics.

I am so happy with the podium. MyKayla was most likely always going for silver at best (assuming a healthy Simone), and she did an amazing job overall at these Olympics. Im happy for her. Rebecca is so lovely and Im thrilled for her. And i laughed at Yeo on the podium. She was so fun.

Now I wait for bars!! And hope Jade redeems on floor when she gets her chance.

Moreno is so humble. She wasn’t going to put the medal around her neck until Rebecca urged her to do it. very cute. Mckayla happy now.
