Rutgers President Jonathan Holloway calls for external investigation into gymnastics program

This one is wild. For those of you who can’t read the article, basically the contours of what’s publicly known: Multiple gymnasts go to the Athletic Director for help after experiencing abusive coaching. The AD brushes aside their concerns. It turns out the AD and head coach were in an “inappropriate relationship” with each other during that time. Add in that Rutger’s head coach was making more than Michigan State’s head coach (Michigan State won Big 10’s in 2024) with much inferior results.

Rutgers was apparently spending TONS of money on gymnastics, more than almost any other Big 10 team. Meanwhile, donations are absolutely plummeted. People were questioning WTF was going on, and I guess now we know why.

Salim-Beasley's father apparently also attacked gymnasts that came forward online. Fun times!
