But didn't it feel good? I shoveled my car out to drive to work early and grumbled the whole time and then realized I really enjoyed doing it

I love it when my husband and my daughter shovel snow while I stay in the warm house. On several occasions when when Mr. IratePanda was away and Miss IP was tiny, I had to shovel the entire driveway all by my damn self. It was not pretty. I don't mind physical exertion. On the contrary, I'll happily swim three miles or do an hour-long HIIT workout. I just hate the cold.

Snow is a major electoral issue in local elections here. Our previous mayor was sacked in large part due to disastrous snow management and his successor was elected on a promise to get the weather under control!

How exactly did he think he would get the weather under control? Snow management and removal, yes. But unless he was running for God, getting the weather under control was not going to be an option.

Anyone remember what happened to New York's Mayor Lindsay? Right after his election there was a 15 foot snowfall and it was a total disaster. Over one week later many streets in the boroughs were still unplowed. He went out to Queens (one of the 5 Boroughs of NYC) and the car he was being driven in got stuck in the snow. It clouded his entire time in office. He went around saying "This is an outrage and will not be tolerated" but basically did nothing to get the situation under control.

We were told it would be snowing an inch an hour here. It snowed from about 11am-6pm and we got maaaaybe 3 inches.

I do not shovel the driveway. My bulging discs in my lower back can't handle it haha. The rest of my body hates it too. My 14yo brother usually does it.
