We got maybe 6 inches but it was wet and heavy. I got half the driveway cleared and with luck, the 50 F degree weather will handle the other half. My back is crying (I also have been doing a painting craft that has me hunching over the table for hours which didn't help the situation)

But didn't it feel good? I shoveled my car out to drive to work early and grumbled the whole time and then realized I really enjoyed doing it
I don't know about "enjoy" but I'm counting it as my exercise and I don't mind the soreness (feels the same after a good weight-training workout). I just don't like the part where my lower back seizes up for a week.

We're supposed to get three inches overnight, with a nice crust of a quarter inch of ice on top by morning. That will not be fun to remove.

My husband has been roundly warned he is banned from shovelling snow once he hits 45 after I read some thing on Twitter about how it gets more dangerous for men at that age and my medically-anxious brain latched on. So he has 3 years to clear the few flakes we get and then that’s it 😂. Luckily since we live on a boat in the pnw it’s a mostly non issue….though we’re on day 10 of our water being turned off due to cold so there is that I suppose

Haven't had much snow in the UK this winter. But it doesn't seem to have stopped raining since late 2023, which is quite depressing and brings its own challenges...

Even worse, do you not remember summer 2023? Constantly pissing down and warm too, there's nothing worse. I don't mind rain, but it's supposed to be cool drizzle in a British summer.

wow ok, you guys weren’t kidding. You actually have to shovel snow off your driveways?

When we lived in Alaska we had a snowblower. We didn’t take it with us when we moved down to the lower 48. So, yes we shovel. Usually only once or twice a year.

I was much younger in Alaska when I lived there so I did not have a snowblower.

Is this the snow thread now? I skied to work today. Well, halfway to work, anyway, because the sidewalks had been plowed on the other half.

Wait, the thread says "New Goal: LA 2028". That's an old goal now, right? She stopped training?

What are we poor Gabby fans to think?

I didn't think we know for sure if she's stopped training or is moving (or trying to move). No official statement, she's just left WOGA--quietly this time

During her comeback, I got the feeling that she still had a lot to figure out about what she really wants. I think she truly found her love for gymnastics again has a passion for going to the gym and training every day, but she doesn't have the same feelings about competing. She seems like she's improved her mental health a lot, but the pressure of competition is still a major roadblock.
