I wonder how many Olympians have competed in non-consecutive games in different decades. Becky might be the first gymnast to do so if she makes Paris. It would also be pretty novel to have 8 years between her 1st/2nd and 2nd/3rd games.
Only other ones I can think of are Ponor and Iordache. It must be quite unusual.
 
I’m always more worried about her mentally. You just never know what you’re going to get.
 
I am choosing to be uncharacteristically positive about Becky’s 2024.

  • Isla Gie is a British actress represented by Curtis Brown.

    In 2018, at the age of 7, Isla made her professional debut in the Cameron Mackintosh production of Les Miserables (UK and Ireland tour) as young Eponine and then as Little Cosette.     Further TV credits include recurring character 'Child Zelda' in 'The Sandman' for Netflix, 'Kes' in 'The Witcher:Blood Origin' also for Netflix and 'Straun's Daughter' in the Apple TV series 'Slow Horses'.

    Isla also filmed an Amazon TV series called 'Mammals' playing the role of series regular 'Greta' alongside James Corden.

    Isla plays the role of 'Sabra' in the film 'Villain' by Cowboy Funfair Productions together with Game of Thrones and Last of Us star Bella Ramsey.

    Throughout 2022, Isla performed the title role of 'Matilda' in 'Matilda the musical' at the Cambridge Theatre in the West End.

    In May 2023, Isla was announced as the titular role of Flavia in the upcoming film series Flavia De Luce, based on the award-winning books. Isla is set to star in the film alongside Martin Freeman.

    Isla is also an elite gymnast and dancer with many national and regional titles. She was also a Junior Associate at the Royal Ballet School 2021/22.
 


Poor GRM. Bet the selectors are breathing a slight sigh of relief though. The team decision is much easier now. Tulloch needed to impress in 2024 but he’s looking like a strong alternate candidate given his spring performances so far. We’ll see what today holds.
