Wild that there are more hosting issues post- compared to mid-pandemic. Of course it’s for a variety of reasons but yikes!

When it comes to Euros I’m always surprised that Spain has never hosted. It’s a big country and has had international success in the sport. The only AG event they’ve hosted this millennium that comes to mind is the 2008 WCF in Madrid.

I went to the Alina Kabaeva Cup recently, and there were fewer presidential portraits gracing the arena than there were when Türkiye hosted Euros

I definitely think the UEG will consider political situations and potential situations extremely closely with this one, and going forward. Just make everything Belgium

There couldn't have been much room for presidential portraits due to (I assume) the numerous portraits of Irina Viner mounted in the venue.
