7. 🇰🇿 Yezhova Evelina KAZ - 12.866
8. 🇺🇿 Chusovitina Oksana UZB - DNF

Chuso upgraded her vaults for the final. She attempted a 1.5TT for the first vault and landed it in a deep seat (but popped right up to standing.) She walked back to the start of the runway for the 2nd vault but was moving her leg around a lot like she was testing her right ankle or knee. They credited her with a FTT. She saluted like she was about to vault again, then shook her head, saluted again and withdrew.

Was Chuso injured? Do we know what happened? I was watching her on the livestream and I was surprised -- she did not seem to be injured but then she withdrew and did not do a 2d vault

It looked to me like she may have tweaked something on her right leg. She kept bending it and hopping on it like she was trying to test whether it was good to vault again or not.

Probably not anything too serious, but with the podium likely out of reach with the first vault being devalued plus the poor landing it seemed like she decided the second vault wasn’t worth the risk.

Thanks Passion. That sounds right. She made the Finals which was enough.

Nakamura's routine is very China circa 2008 with those dead hangs. I love that she's kept the Def, though.
Nakamura is someone who should be scoring high 14's with her talent, but the skills she does are not rewarded by the code. Def is a deduction trap, piked deltchev isn't worth any special amount, and her eponymous dismount is extremely undervalued.

I think she needs to learn a Yang and Maloney, and connect her Inbar 1/1 to Layout Gienger. Then she'll be able to get the big scores.

It’s like she’s trained at GAGE

I missed Nakamura but she got a 13.866.

Huge 14.633 on beam from Hwang Seohyun of South Korea!

Zhou Yaqin missed some connections, took her time collecting herself and went overtime. She goes behind Hwang with 14.166

Zhang Xinyi sits down the dismount - 13.200

Paulsson spins herself off the beam on a wolf turn - 11.933

Eom Dohyun, a little scrappy, chest down on dbl pike, but she hits. Big waves to the crowd - 13.533

Sugihara three small wobbles, otherwise pretty smooth. Good dbl pike. More big waves to the crowd - 14.166

Yeap Kang Xian nice floaty layout stepouts - 13.233

Zhou Yaqin and Sugihara tied but Sugihara wins the tiebreak for silver. ZYQ bronze, Hwang Seohyun gold.

Darya Yassinskaya - front handspring, double front steps OOB. dbl tuck three steps back. falls out of a wolf turn, puts her hand behind her to catch herself. front handspring, dbl full maybe? I'm not good with counting foward twists. Takes another couple steps back on that landing too - 11.600

Hwang Seohyun - This girl is itty bitty and she's using Lobaznyuk's music. Opens with a perfect dbl tuck. front twisting thing to front twisting thing. Real speedy dbl wolf turn. back 2.5 twist to end. Not a lot of dance in there - 12.833

Qin Xinyi - Dbl pike. Memmel turn. front tuck through to dbl twist. Another wolf turn, I wish she was a little faster getting into it. Dbl tuck to end, lands it low and lunges forward - 12.800

Tonya Paulsson - Big DLO, might have stepped out it was off the screen. Full in. front tuck through to dbl back, low and lunges forward. dbl wolf turn to end - 12.800 with a -0.1 so she did go OOB.

Paulsson and Qin Xinyi tie and Paulsson wins the tiebreak on execution because they have the same D.

Sugihara Aiko - Big DLO, step back. back full through to dbl tuck. Gets the crowd clapping. Memmel turn. 2.5 to front layout. dbl pike, small step. Waves to the crowd - 13.666

Zhou Yaqin - Triple turn, lovely. High Dbl tuck. Memmel Turn. Triple twist, punch front. back 2.5 twist to end - 13.733 into first!!

Nakamura Haruka - wolf turn right off the bat, I think this was a triple it was really fast. whip, dbl back. dbl pike. front twist thing to front twist thing. Memmel turn a little jumpy out of it. 2.5 to punch front to end - 13.133

Park Nayoung - dbl pike stuck. front twisting, front twist thing. dbl wolf turn. dbl tuck, bigger hop back. She's making heart signs to the crowd - 12.900
