Gymcastic has been off lately. Without Spencer there, Jessica has made careless mistakes that have not been corrected. He usually corrects her.

All good steps. I can see the FIG deciding to hammer E scores on vault because "the scores don't line up with other events"

I hate this rationale (not yours, I know). Vault is the quickest event by far -- it's just one skill. There's nothing wrong or unfair about the fact that E scores would be significantly higher.

The impact of a vault specialist is already quite blunted by the low D scores anyway. On no other events would you see a 5.3 avg. D score like you do for our latest World Champion vaulter.

In fact, the way the code is written there should be big discrepancies in E score averages. In descending order it should be VT > UB > BB > FX. (due to artistry deductions being highest on floor).

Yes. Gabby did AA at American Classic and did not get 51.0 AA score so she was ineligible to petition to do AA.

There was PT tonight. USAG posted pictures on their FB.

No Simone or any of the other WCC gymnasts in the pictures, so I assume they skipped this session. No Gabby, but Valeri was there with Hezly and Madray. Didn't see Suni either.

Shilese, Jade, Skye, Kaliya, Kayla, Leanne were all there.

They have Gabby listed 1st for floor, which is an indication she's not doing the event. If she were to do floor, she would go 4th according to the rotation order.

Gabby is out. She withdrew citing an ankle injury in training this week.

The exciting news is that she plans to continue to train for the 2028 Olympics!
