Thing is - Kara got all her D at Pan Ams.

So maybe they’re taking a risk that it won’t be a Tokyo pen. Maybe Cheryl is on the panel?

Although my issue with her routine isn’t so much D it’s E.

The Pan Am Games page is weird and wonky. It was impossible to figure out team scores.
However, USAG posted results finally: https://usagym.org/PDFs/Results/2021/m_21jrpanam_team.pdf
United States men won, followed by Brazil and Colombia for silver and bronze.

Vahe Petrosyan won the All Around with teammate Tobias Liang in 3rd. These two guys are going to be the up and comers for USAG. However, unsure if it will be in Paris, but they certainly will be the perfect age when Los Angeles rolls around.

They have plenty of medal opportunities in event finals.
FX: Liang
PH: Shamah, Liang
SR: Petrosyan, Shamah
VT: Liang
PB: Shamah, Petrosyan,
HB: Partridge, Petrosyan

Do you have to register to watch the live stream?

The live scoring is horrific. Nothing showing up in team or all around.
You have to toggle individual events to find scores.

Brazil putting up average of 11.000 on bars. With an 11.650 the highest from them.
Mexico is averaging 11.950 on floor to lead Brazil after 1 rotation by 2.850.

Looks like anything in the 12s will be a strong score. At this rate the Americans will likely dominate by 20 points or so.
Without a full team from Canada (one individual) Brazil and Mexico are the leading contenders for silver and bronze.
However, this opens the door for Puerto Rico and Argentina to make a run at an upset medal.

Side note: Bolivia only put up two athletes on bars so they will count a 0 on that event, taking them completely out of the team event, though they would have been down the rankings anyway as their two bars scores are 8.65 and 7.55

At the halfway point, Brazil still struggling. Averaged 11.433 on beam.
They are currently in 3rd place.
Mexico was solid on beam for 11.650 average.
They lead currently with 3.5 over Brazil.
However, Brazil goes to floor and vault. Mexico goes to vault and bars. So Brazil should make up ground.
The real surprise at the moment is Ecuador, who is in 2nd ahead of Brazil by 2.85. Nice to see a lesser known program doing well for themselves here. They did have strong vaulting which helped them, averaging 12.85 and have to go to beam and floor still.
  1. Mexico 70.8
  2. Ecuador 70.15
  3. Brazil 67.3
  4. El Salvador 66.4

Thank you for all the updates!
Unfortunately the live scoring system is screwed up for the team portion but subdivision 1 is finished. Looks like Brazil might have taken the lead after 13s in vault on the final rotation and with Mexico counting two bars scores in the 10s in their final rotation.

Canada’s Aurelie Tran took over the AA lead and will medal as only US comes up next.
Very strong scores for her including 13.950 on bars to lead that event. She is also leading floor with a 12.6. Her 11.85 on beam is 2nd best so far.

Brazil did end up passing Mexico by just .850 of a point.

In order to pass Brazil, the US just needs to average 11.916 of which will drop below 10 once they compete VT as they have 2 DTYs from Jong and Sumanasekera and strong 1 1/2 from Chio. As I mentioned earlier, US could win this by 20 points.

Subdivision 3 Rotation 1
Vault: 41.950 (1)
Sumanasekerea: 14.050
Jong: 14.025
Chio 13.875
Johnson: 13.750

11.227 average needed on the other 3 events to win team gold.
