My question is, IF Simone does withdraw, Is Carey considered the 1st qualifier so she will go 1st, Rebeca would be 2nd qualifier so she would go 4th etc… does everyone else gets rearranged in the order?

No, I believe they’ll just slot Skinner into Biles’ spot like they did with Carey today

hmm… I guess I wouldn’t be that upset with Skinner going first and if she doesn’t get a medal, she can blame the line up lol

I guess Saturday unless she announces something. Line ups have been coming out the day before the competition.

If she is really doing some coaching with mykayla on vault, I can’t imagine she will be in the vault finals.

We’ll know if she isn’t on it. If she is, will we be able to be sure before march out? At Worlds it doesn’t seem uncommon for reserves to be subbed in literally minutes before

I REALLY hope something clicks for Biles before Sunday. I don’t want her competing unless it does though.

I think beam is more likely as she wants to hit in an Olympic BB EF. Also there’s no American to take her place and there’s probably a part of her that would like to give Skinner an EF chance given her “I’ve done an Olympics” comment. For beam it depends if she can do a double pike dismount though (assuming she’s lost her full-in on beam as well as floor).

I’ve been watching replays of surfing, though mostly in the background. Some say it’s boring, but I find it very soothing, especially with the sound of the ocean. So if your nerves are a little jangled from this week maybe give it a try!

Yeah, I’m actually more concerned about the event final days than I was about waking up at 1 am to watch US’s podium training and qualificaitons.

hmm Andrade competes 3rd with Biles/Skinner 1st and Carey 4th… she might need to do the Amanar to put pressure of Carey. I would LOVE if she won vault(if Simone can’t compete)
