DTB Cup 2024

From 15 to 17 March the DTB cup in Stuttgart, Germany is taken place. USA, China, Belgium and Germany will take part in the mixed cup.

From Belgium, following ladies will participate
Jade Vansteenkiste (Gym Izegem)
Zsofi Verleden (Gym Izegem)
Mika Webster-Longin (East Bay Gymnastics - USA Gymnastics)
Alice Francoy (Vaste Vuist Lauwe)
Yléa Tollet (De Gym)

Does someone know Mika Webster? As far as I know, she never participated in any Belgian competition.

Looking forward to DTB! Australia is sending it’s A team for women, and for men it’ll be good to see how Jesse Moore, James Hardy and Heath Thorpe are all looking in competition.

Article on Dulcy Caylor. I'll say that last year she was pretty unimpressive but she seems to have a good head on her shoulders and is thinking long term. I will be interested to see if she has a glow up in the next few years.

I think it averages out to an A, LOL. Qiu and Zhou are A+, but the other three are A-minus or even B+. (Zhang Xinyi has never really impressed me, Wu Ran is hopelessly inconsistent, and Zhang Jin is reportedly just coming back from surgery.)

I’m sure that in 2021, there were 2 new leotards that were given to everyone who competed in Olympic trials and were also used at 2021 worlds.

2021 was unusual. Typically, gymnasts at Trials wear their choice of past national team leos. I did like seeing half the gymnasts in one leo and half in the other, and then everyone wearing the other Leo on night 2. I wonder if they'll do that again.

In 2000 they had two specific leos for Trials too.

GK released three training leos to be used at the Olympics this year already.

I don’t keep up with the code as much these days, but an 8.5 for those wobbles, pauses and checks seems questionable? Not to mention body shape on the switch 1/2 and whatever artistry deductions. Someone who knows the code, how did you score this routine?

USA MAG and WAG are set to compete in the mixed team cup.
