US won the mixed cup

With a lot of help from China in the final. China had the highest total score across all the rounds, but their lowest scoring round was the final. Both men fell on high bar, and I don't understand why the Chinese women left floor for last - bars was predictably their highest scoring apparatus, and they qualified for the final by miles so they didn't need the higher score in the earlier rounds.

Thanks for the score breakdown.

No surprise, Jesse Moore is the front runner for the spot. Great to see him return to the AA again.

Both Moore and Hardy fell on 1 event (Pommel and HB, respectively) so have that improvement in them, but I missed the first few routines of Heath so unsure if he was also counting one.

Looking at the scores, I'm even more perplexed by the decisions made by China. Just plain bad strategy. There was no reason for WAG to do bars and beam in qualifying. Did they not understand the format? And while saving bars for finals wouldn't have won gold because of how MAG performed on HB, they put themselves at a distinct disadvantage of their own making from the word "go."

Jesse Moore also counted a fall on floor (double front) and seemed to leave out a front double pike. Loved what the did between 3rd and 4th tumbles (huge cartwheel, flairs to handstand, jump into forward roll).
So yes agree Jesse is currently the front runner in AUS MAG AA. Nationals are two months away in mid-May.

Thanks - I missed the floor rotation. That means with a 6/6 hit for Jesse, he has the potential to score over 81 which would have him hovering around the AA final mark based on scores from last worlds (I know judging is different every meet so it's not quite that linear). But thats huge for an Aussie gymnast to show that much scoring potential!

Great for AUS MAG with Jesse back, James Hardy two finals at DTB and James Bacueti doing well at World Cups too.
