Not a vintage US team showing, but I’m glad to see them out at stuff like this. And given geopolitical events, the Americans will probably end up winning worlds by default this year unless the Chinese federation can stop self sabotaging for five minutes.

I don’t think that any of the US gymnasts did badly given how early in the season it is and how little international experience they have. But I think what is different from other post Olympic years is the lack so far of an emerging star who’ll dominate the year

They all start twisting while still on the table. It really hurts the block and gives them less height, which they have to compensate elsewhere. Especially Frazier and Blakely do this. Hence the piking down from the first gymnast (can’t remember her name) or sloppy twists from others. Only Konnor seemed to wait a little longer and she gets a much better block.

That reddish cranberry leotard also looks great.
Ozone and Turn makes some great leotards!

I’m sooooo torn about that acro series (never want to call something a layout on beam these days because D panels). The height is beautiful, and when she controls it well, it’s stunning. But there so often seem to be massive breaks. Nearly fell yesterday, stunning today, standard.
