ETA: I loved the vault rules in the 97-00 quad

I’ve heard lots of people say this over the years. I too would like to see AAders showing two vaults (could be same entry). Perhaps they went to one vault for the 01-04 quad because everyone had to get used to the table but it’s a shame it never came back. Maybe two vaults in the AA would help with the “vault scores high” issue that they refuse to fix using E score deductions.

They had 2 vaults in 2001.

Moving to 1 vault was part of the revamps the FIG made when they went to 2 per country AA, 24 finalist all around starting in 2003.

Ah of course, I now remember VVDL’s DTY and luconi in AA finals. Serves me right for posting quickly when I should be working.

Yeah they needed two vaults at the 2002 European AA also.
