I don’t know what its like in Liverpool, but probably not great. The only city with excellent public transport that I’ve ever visited has been London. Everywhere else has been awful.

I’ve still got buses and trams close by in my neck of the woods running at this time but again, built up urban area. It is a very impractical timing choice.

It’s not so bad if you live on the Merseyrail network, which is one of the best in the UK outside London, but anyone wanting a mainline train will have to leg it at the end of the session if they are lucky enough to have anything running that late at all. There won’t be many buses either.
