I don’t love that Andrade is only in 2nd. Wei Xiaoyuan was increasingly wonky in the pirouette series and the Jaegar was really crooked, she actually did well to catch it as cleanly as she did. But it probably wasn’t very obvious from the side.

I’d argue that Luo Rei is staying true to the spirit of the skill, though. She’s an otherwise very good bar worker, it’s the easiest skill in the routine and one of the worst performed.

Melnikova missed the same connection as she did in the AA. Interesting that she didn’t go for it, she didn’t look off. I see why she played safe in the AA, but here, she wasn’t going to get into the medals without the full difficulty.
