Yes, I am aware. That’s why it felt like a weird comment to make. It’s setting him apart because of his hair and drawing attention to it. Like he isn’t allowed to just exist. Then people will get defensive about it, because they are saying something positive. When probably they should be saying nothing at all. There’s a term for it, I’m sure.@MaryClare in the US, Black men and women have been criticized for their natural hair. Called out for being "unprofessional" and "unclean". This is centered around racial bias and discrimination.
