This has been happening to me. I thought it was due to a recent significant birthday. Maybe crossing that age line meant that I couldn’t work tech properly.

I use the forum on a PC and mostly firefox or edge browser. (I have had success posting by going to drafts and hitting reply before the ad pops up.

@cftmoonlight79 @ucrgirl There should now be a “close” button on the bottom ad so you can close it when your are trying to reply or push a button. It was always supposed to be like that… but apparently that changed a while back. It is fixed now.

Finding the mobile experience to be nearly unusable. Page refreshes at random – and refreshes SLOWLY – at that. Both while I’m scrolling, and while I’m composing posts.

There seems to be a weird new ad format that creates a border around my entire mobile screen to capture my attention, but in the meantime the aspect ratio breaks and ads creep into my text box, which I inadvertently click and navigate away to random websites.

And worst of all, it seems if I leave my text box up on a post for too long without typing, the entire text box seems to collapse from full-screen to a smaller text area and rockets me halfway into the current thread I’m replying to for no reason.

ETA: iPhone user on Chrome (same issues on Safari iOS though)

What sort of phone? Are you all using iPhones like Peridot? I haven’t had the same issues on my Android.

My android phone is ok. Sometimes takes ages to login on laptop though, but it is an old one so that may be an issue at my end.

I’m on an iPhone and have not encountered the issues the other posters have.

Ive been using android and noticed that i have missed sections of threads, I’m guessing when i flipped over to watch the video feed and then flipped back, i think it jumped to the end of the thread.

Eta, im ad free so no ability to comment on that.

I have an iPhone 11 and do not have any issues with the page on my phone.
I usually use my iPad or Macbook when at home though.

I’m using overpowered hardware (Samsung phone running Android and Mac laptops) and experience normal performance. But the Walmart ads commandeer the screen on both desktop and mobile. They prevent interacting with the screen on mobile and cover up buttons on desktop. And clicking the x icon doesn’t make them disappear on desktop. So I suspect those ads contribute to performance problems.

I’m having the same issue with the page reloading and the feed backing way up and the Walmart advertisement closing in the borders of the page.

I am contacting the ad company to see if a new ad type was implemented. In the meantime… we do have a NO ADS membership…

Just today, i had to reboot my phone and when i came back to the site, i got an Ad, realized that update had stopped during the men’s pbars so got caught up and now the reactions aren’t working right. They are offset off the left of the screen and i can’t see the heart and i am not sure it is actually registering the reaction as the number doesn’t increment. Android phone, chrome browser.

Eta: also, when i post, there is a “ghost post” above it with no content.

Eta2: and when i edit, the edit doesn’t show until i leave and reenter the thread when it used to do it live.

I’m getting similar issues. Whenever I post, there’s a ghost echo post. Likes aren’t loading and my reacting to somebody’s post doesn’t work.

Same issue too. And my reply went to the wrong person. When i close the ad, it seems to stay away but if i reboot chrome it comes back. Im on ad-free…usually.

And i cannot reply to Arnold

I hit the reply arrow and it wants to reply to Rich (quotes his text), so, okay everything is offset, click reply to MaryCkare to reply to Arnols, nope, replies to MaryClare. Some weird glitch happening here. (I went back into the thread and was finally able to reply)
