I 100% agree. But the whole process has been written to put Alice on the team. IMO it’s Becky v Amelie.

I would love them to name all 5 and say an alternate will be chosen nearer the time.

I really do not understand why Becky didn’t make the team. No offense to the AA girls, but I think Becky on bars was the best medal chance.

ETA course there might be things we don’t know that make this sensible-trying to be fair.

Given Ellie’s twitter, I think we have to assume this is accurate. Best guess the team is therefore the Gadirovas, Alice and Amelie.

Becky would’ve had the attention of the planet if she’d won a medal, following the bereavement. It would’ve been one of the human interest stories of the Games. Can’t have someone who’s already said lots of inconvenient things about abusive structures within British gymnastics getting that kind of attention or platform.

Anyway, forward to another stellar 6th place!

Def our best chance of a medal thrown away. The team score needed her even without the chance of a bars medal. It’s disgusting. Basically a punishment for exposing abuse in the past and supporting others who came out and did IMHO. I can’t even express how much I hate them for this decision. It’s so nasty it’s unbelievable.
