Georgia has never had problems bringing in decent talent. Georgia is such an interesting wildcard this year. They are so over in scholarship spots going into next year and they keep adding recruits, now they are one over for 2026-27. New coaching staff this year. I know several girls on the current team. Strange dynamic knowing several of the current girls are going to be asked to leave the team next year. And then they see them keep bringing in recruits. I can see it going good or bad.

You have to think that walk ons would be the first asked to leave. Do you think if you are a walk on and NOT competing you'd be the first asked to leave? I'm wondering do they have to leave or could they be kept as a volunteer team manager like Jackie Morgan was. Kelsey Lee is one such walk on. She was injured all last year but was a great support to the competing members- Lily Smith comes to mind. I think Lee went to nationals with her.

Possibly, I mean from the outside that would be the most logical approach. It doesn't make it any easier on the team or the individuals affected. If handled poorly it could turn sour. But gotta think that they have some ideas of how they are going to cut 5 over the next 2 years. They cant all become team managers.

It looks like only next year (26) will be the problem. If they have to cut four at that time it stands to reason that at least one of them would have been on the 27 roster as well. I'm thinking Lee, Morgan, Turner, Mason and maybe even Battle since she tore her achilles. It will definitely be interesting to see how this situation is handled.

Updated the list again. Alicia Zhou is the only remaining "big name" that is uncommitted.
