Any news on 2026 commits? I haven't seen anything yet. Obviously still early, but seems one or two big names always commit right away. Looking forward to seeing them start announcing!

In-person contact opened on the 1st. Looking for @"college"program tags on social media to see where programs are targeting recruits. Saw Bama was in Florida.

I believe Izzy Stassi and Hezly Rivera are both planning visits to OU. I asked my person at OU if Hezly having goals on the next Olympics would be possible at OU. She said she really didn't know how the staff would feel about that. Obviously it's not a current thing at OU like it is at Florida. I don't know which colleges are open to train someone as elite, besides the ones currently doing it.

Hezly doesn’t seem very OU to me
Maybe it is just because it is the closest gymnastics college to texas, right? She seems very close to her family so maybe she isn't interested in moving far away from them? (and there is something to be said for being on a team of frequent winners.)

Hezly found her consistency so I'm hoping NCAA will increase her confidence and steadiness.

Maybe, but isn’t there speculation that their move to Texas was temporary and they’ll return to Jersey when Maggie’s suspension ends? Although perhaps WOGA getting her to the Olympics has changed things

It might depend on what she wants to do. Hezly will have many offers and if a prestigious school with great academics wants her she might pass on Oklahoma . Stanford for example might offer academic studies that they don’t.

Maybe Hezly will commit to Georgia?
That would be a huge get for them and bring in the star power (Olympic gold medalist) that they are wanting. Helps that she spent lots of time with Cecile.
Yep.
Georgia might become the NCAA stronghold for elite gymnasts.
Suppose Laurent will join Cecile there in 2025 (after their daughter graduates and moves to Auburn)?

Hezley is not going to college (see Laurie Hernandez), and if she does I bet she probably defers for 2028. What is going to be interesting in this class is the roster limits now in place. With schools limited to only 20 spots, some programs are a bit over the cap (some more than others, I see you LSU). This is the last year that schools will be able to carry 20+ gymnasts and they have already committed to the 2025 spots so either they take fewer 2026 or start suggesting transfers. So we might start seeing some of these schools only take 2-3 2026s depending on where their roster sits.

Has she said she isn’t going to college? It’s not really a comparable situation with Laurie, there are now a lot of opportunities for Olympians that in 2016, they’d have had to go pro to do

She also hasn't really done much in the public eye, just two qualifications routines at an Olympics that she would've never been anywhere near except for several season-ending injuries to stronger gymnasts. Hernandez was instrumental to team gold and beat Biles on beam in the event final. Rivera has the chance to parlay this buzz into a strong 2025, but there's also a chance that this was the summer of a lifetime for her and that she'll still be middle of the pack.

I also think that personality wise they are very different. Hezly seems quite quiet, although that might be because we’ve only seen her alongside some pretty outgoing team mates who are quite a bit older than her.
