Some of the top AAers are out. Feel free to add to the list (mods can edit my post)

Contenders:
Kaylia Neymour
Leann Wong
Jayla Hang
Zhang Qingying
Angelina Melnikova
Anna Kalmykova
Giulia Perotti
Aiko Sugihara
Naomi Visser
Ellie Black
Out of Contention
Hezly Rivera: injured
Claire Pease: injured
Rebeca Andrade: kind of over it all
Manilla Esposito: not up for it
Alice D'Amato: not up for it
Shilese Jones: pacing post-injury

Frankly, were everyone healthy and interested, Andrade and Jones would be the clear favorites. But with all these people out, who's going to capitalize?

Can people share outlook on their favorite contenders? Here's a template you could use.
You can type : followed by vt, ub, bb, fx to get the icons if you don't like to copy/paste.)

Neymour... For me the big question is vault.

:vt: 14.0 if she does the DTY. 13.4-ish if she doesn't.
:ub: 15.5ish
:bb: 14.5ish? And she's now regularly scoring that high (or more)
:fx: 13.5ish?

That'd actually be a 58 total. Nobody else is going to be up that high, right?

Only a Yurchenko full today.

14.9 on beam though. Wow! And the E-score was tight (8.5)

Her new floor... That middle pass was a mess, but it's otherwise looking solid.

i would love to see Nemour win the AA. Aside from what vault she throws, beam is the other big question mark. for the past few seasons she's put up a handful of great beam routines like the one above but hasn't pulled that level of routine off at a worlds or olympics. The good news for her is that I don't think that she'll need that great a routine to get the AA title considering the diminished field. But if she's throwing a full on vault, she'll likely need something closer to that routine on beam to take the title.

I watched Giulia Perroti's UB, BB, and FX from the Italian Championships. She has some good skills and a very nice performance quality. I couldn't find a recent V, but she could be in the mix with a DTY or even a semi-decent FTY.

Mod note: inserted the videos mentioned
Her Yurchenko full (not from this week)

If they are peaking: Aiko Sugihara, Naomi Visser, Ellie Black might be AA medal contenders? Sadly, add Shoko Miyata to the Out Of Contention list since she wasn’t named to the team back in Spring 😭
