I did not like Pease (too fleshy and ice-dancery), Moore (i saw it from a distance first and thought she was just wearing hot pink undies), or Rose's (the mesh cutouts were so poorly places and unflattering). I loved Rivera (the raglan-esque neckline looked very sporty), Wong (beautiful color), WCC (the wavy pattern was really nice), Gage (did I just type that?), and Roberson (her best leo ever). Caylor's blue was also very pretty.

I just really dislike the choker-neckline leotards. They never look comfortable or sporty and I always think that any of the leotards with that neckline would look better without it.

So many of those leotards are so horrible that I barely know where to start. Except that Pacific Reign's might be the worst - imagine paying competition leotard prices for something that, from more than a metre or so away, looks like a washed out tank. How can the gymnasts feel like their best selves when they're sent out looking like that?
I also viscerally dislike GAGE's leotard (which is fairly normal for me) because I think the tone is off. They're athletes, not cabaret dancers. Although at least it's not inherently unaesthetic.

Tiana's looks a bit like a Monet painting.

I loved Josc's, Nola's and Hezly's. I disliked the one that looked like a tank with washed out sleeves. I wanted to dislike Gages but I actually quite liked it. Another colour would have worked better for me, maybe a dark red?

I've been wondering if WCC's was inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night, or if it's just a coincidence. That leo was another I found really pretty.

I don't like leos that either don't allow gymnasts to wear underwear or make it look like they are not - and for this reason I really didn't like Skye's with the widening blue mesh panel that goes from one armpit, across her boobs to widen out over her hip.

I know it's alot about money and sponsorships, but I wish girls on the same team would wear matching leos.
But they aren't really a "team" are they? Yeah, all from the same gym but they are competing as individuals so it seems like they shouldn't have to have "gym" leos at all. I'm sure it is easier to order 4 of the same one than 4 individual and maybe there is a price break (the gymnast pays for their own leo, right? It isn't provided unless it is Worlds, Olympics, or Trials? Unless the company is paying for sponsorship?). I guess the men generally reusing their college leos saves them money and maybe gives a confidence boost. Personally, I'm okay with mismatch but I think coordination could be cool--the same leo but in different colors, the same color different cuts (to maximize what the gymnast likes and looks best in). Like bridesmaids.

f. Coaches and athletes MUST wear club apparel when training or competing in the competition arena at Winter Cup, AmericanClassic, U.S. Classic, and U.S. Championships.

They're not just reusing their college singlets, that's their club apparel while they're training there.

Back in the day, GK gave every elite in the country a free competition leo. That helps GK solidify market dominance over Alpha Factor and upstarts like Dreamlights. And then elite clubs were given a discount on additional competition leos that would be worn for nationals. Not sure if that's still the case--my guess is it's not, given that GK has been steadily losing market share to Ozone and SP.
