I've been wondering if WCC's was inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night, or if it's just a coincidence. That leo was another I found really pretty.I did not like Pease (too fleshy and ice-dancery), Moore (i saw it from a distance first and thought she was just wearing hot pink undies), or Rose's (the mesh cutouts were so poorly places and unflattering). I loved Rivera (the raglan-esque neckline looked very sporty), Wong (beautiful color), WCC (the wavy pattern was really nice), Gage (did I just type that?), and Roberson (her best leo ever). Caylor's blue was also very pretty.
But they aren't really a "team" are they? Yeah, all from the same gym but they are competing as individuals so it seems like they shouldn't have to have "gym" leos at all. I'm sure it is easier to order 4 of the same one than 4 individual and maybe there is a price break (the gymnast pays for their own leo, right? It isn't provided unless it is Worlds, Olympics, or Trials? Unless the company is paying for sponsorship?). I guess the men generally reusing their college leos saves them money and maybe gives a confidence boost. Personally, I'm okay with mismatch but I think coordination could be cool--the same leo but in different colors, the same color different cuts (to maximize what the gymnast likes and looks best in). Like bridesmaids.I know it's alot about money and sponsorships, but I wish girls on the same team would wear matching leos.
