Spicy arent we? My apologies for lack of first name use, I got lazy and we just writing off the top of my head versus looking names up. Rather than potentially offending by using the wrong name or grossly misspelling I opted for the last name which I clearly knew. I meant no slight to anyone.

Geez, while they may continue elite careers, although I doubt it, maybe Jade, their college careers are over. Clearly the majority of the LSU seniors expected to be one of the final four (did you see ALEAH's shock when she fell on beam?) but I would like to think that we could all feel for these accomplished COLLEGE athletes who have had this so central to their lives abruptly end. I get it, the cynical, nihilist folks might look at it and say who cares, that's life they have got enough already. But that's what I was trying to get at, a moment for the pain of this and other sports.
But that’s just what happens. For every senior. You often don’t know that it was your last routine until after you’ve competed it.

I’m pretty sure that Aleah has stated that she intends to aim for LA. Who’ll coach her remains to be seen. I would be surprised if Leanne didn’t try for worlds this year but again it’s not clear who will be coaching her although I can see Leanne back at Gage more than Aleah.

Aleah was training at GAGE last summer. There was a picture of her and Eaker in the gym.

Has Leanne finished her classes? I thought she said something along the lines of "Med school will be there" and took off time to train for Paris. So I can very much see her being a volunteer assistant coach who trains with the team next year
If Leanne does continue elite, I hope she at least takes some time off to rest. Even skip the world's cycle this year and aim for elite next year.

I love Leanne, she seems like a wonderful person and she is a great gymnast. However, she has beem doing this elite thing forever and just never seems to get better. She is good enough to always be in the mix, but never enough to be at the top. Is she maxed out on skills? Or should she try different coaches? I'd love to see her have one more great elite run, but she needs to have a can't miss event or two to avoid alternate status.

I love Leanne but she’s been plagued by sub par coaching her entire elite career. I don’t rate Florida’s coaches for elite at all.

She has superb ability on bars, and that should have been her ticket onto multiple teams. She just hasn’t been coached by anyone who can get her a code friendly routine that she can hit

I like Leanne but she really needs some time off - she's been going for years without a proper break
2020/21 - named to Olympics but Covid quarantine in Japan
2021/22 - NCAA
2022 - back to elite and world champs
2022/23 - NCAA
2023 - back to elite and world champs
2023/24 - NCAA
2024 - back to elite and olympic alternate + Swiss Cup
2024/25 - NCAA

She should've been able to walk onto the 2024 Olympic Team after injuries took out Skye, Kayla, and Shilese instead of the new senior who ended up being benched for TFs. No shade intended towards Hezly, she had a great turnaround in her consistency and as it was, the fifth spot was almost superfluous with a team of Simone, Suni, Jade, and Jordan.

Don't forget 2021 Worlds immediately after the Olympics, and this past fall founded her own charity that she's now running food deliveries for every week.

That's on top of all the bows.

Leanne is a beautiful gymnast and she's also had consistency issues for the past few years in major team competitions. We saw what just happened in the semis, she also struggled on beam at SEC's this year.

In 2024, she fell on beam in the final four. In 2023, she stumbled out of bounds on floor in the final four and fell on beam at worlds in the team finals.

This could be caused by coaching issues, skill selection, etc. but its a shame that some amount of self belief leaves her when a team title is on the line.

And doing pre-med. Either she's on the road for an epic burnout or her next entrepreneurial venture needs to be bottling up whatever is giving her the energy.

FUBO has spoken. It's either UCLA or Utah for the team title today.
