Im sorry, if that is the perceived affront, I just don't see it. Much like the "classless" OU leaving the floor conspiracy earlier this year. People (especially UCLA fans with Selena) want to see what they want to see. Now lets decode it like the Zapruder film. Selena is obviously looking away posing for a picture to someone out of frame when Emma walks into frame, She is not directly looking at Emma so its perfectly plausible that she didn't see her. Then there is the giant placard in between Selena and Emma, not exactly conducive to giving hugs. Remember the context, its an award ceremony,not a post meet gathering. These things go quickly. Then at no point in that clip do I see Emma reach out to hug Selena. Then she steps around the placard and on to the next gymnast, again its an award ceremony that is moving quickly and can make for some awkward moments. Until I saw that, from what I read on the internet, it sounded like Selena turned away from Emma while she was standing there with open arms. I just don't see it.

Eh, maybe, but apparently the same thing happened with Alipio. Would be a weird coincidence.

Why? They’ve all had extraordinarily successful careers, with Haleigh competing far longer than she could possibly have imagined. The other 3 may very well continue internationally.

Spicy arent we? My apologies for lack of first name use, I got lazy and we just writing off the top of my head versus looking names up. Rather than potentially offending by using the wrong name or grossly misspelling I opted for the last name which I clearly knew. I meant no slight to anyone.

Geez, while they may continue elite careers, although I doubt it, maybe Jade, their college careers are over. Clearly the majority of the LSU seniors expected to be one of the final four (did you see ALEAH's shock when she fell on beam?) but I would like to think that we could all feel for these accomplished COLLEGE athletes who have had this so central to their lives abruptly end. I get it, the cynical, nihilist folks might look at it and say who cares, that's life they have got enough already. But that's what I was trying to get at, a moment for the pain of this and other sports.

Jade Carey, two time Olympian. Two Olympic Gold medals, One Bronze. Worlds -- 3 Gold medals, 1 silver, 1 Bronze. That would be more than enough fanfare and title for me.
