I wonder how many more late entries we'll see.

Interesting that Tressel and Zeiss are going, but not Hardie.

I was surprised about Zeiss not originally being included given that she was all over the promotional materials for this meet.

It's almost as if USAG purposely has people added as a sneak preview to keep people interested in the event.

I am really excited about CaMarah Williams competing. I 'knew' her when she was a teeny tiny compulsory gymnast as she competed against my daughter a couple of times back then, and I have been following her gymnastic journey since. She's current national AA champion, and has a couple of apparatus titles from past three Nationals too. I always hoped she would try elite, and she finally did! I believe she first qualified as two-eventer (Vegas Cup) and got her AA qualifying score the second time she tried (City of Lights, this past weekend). She is born in 2007 so second year senior, but I don't think she even tried to qualify elite before. Since her gym (which is quite mediocre - I think she is their first and only elite, and they don't have any super high scoring upper level optional gymnast either) is not that far away from GAGE, I always thought Al Fong would try to poach her, and what do I know, maybe he did but wasn't successful obviously.
She posted videos (on Instagram and Youtube) of switch side leap - back tuck combo on beam. Only training videos, I don't think she even competed it as L10, but maybe she does/will as elite. Can't wait to watch her next week!

Not trying to be THAT guy, but with Miller's history with injuries, it might be best for her to scale back, rest up, and get NCAA routines ready.

With Douglas and Lee both back and likely in contention for Paris, someone like Miller, who is really a one event gymnast, has no path to Paris. She was not chosen last year, when it was clear there was a hole on bars, and instead sent to Pan Ams. Now, she faces more competition for a potential "bars" specialist.

Same thoughts on Miller. There's just no path for her.

Ughhh.

I not quite ready to call it a trend, but I've certainly got my eyebrows raised. Two injury withdrawals in a week from the same gym?
